Loop
Count Controlled
- Repeats a process a specified number of times
- Looping mechanism simply counts each time the process is repeated
- Tests whether it has finished before beginning again

Event Controlled
- Repetitions controlled by an event occurring within the body of the loop
- Used when you don't know how many iterations the process will take
